Procurement Coordinator
Under the general direction of the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks within the Procurement Department. This includes processing interbranch transfers, generating routine purchase orders, ensuring all documentation is on file and maintaining the approved supplier list.

- Responsible for following company policies
- Maintains knowledge of and executes all Company Policies and Procedures as required by the organization and other regulatory agencies
- Maintains and represents a professional and positive image for the Companies at all times

- Performs other related duties as assigned, including holiday relief
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members, suppliers, and carriers.
- Responsible for issuing routine purchase orders and maintaining purchasing records / data and entering costs in the company system.
- Responsible for checking order acknowledgements against POs for accuracy.
- Responsible for following up with suppliers / carriers on any discrepancies / damages and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Responsible for taking immediate action to address pricing and / or delivery issues.
- Responsible for processing and managing all inter branch transfers between mills.
- Responsible for matching and checking backup paperwork and receiving records with purchase orders to confirm accuracy.
- Responsible for maintaining the approved supplier list and ensuring all documentation on file is accurate and current for each supplier.
- Responsible for ensuring suppliers provide the necessary documentation for all incoming products to meet the company’s and Feed Assure / HACCP standards.
- Responsible for assisting with coordinating inbound freight and updating the logistics database
- Responsible for identifying and actively collaborating in the development of continuous improvement opportunities in inventory management and cost optimization.
- Responsible for monitoring and updating inventory records/data.
- Responsible for assisting in monthly inventory counts and requesting spot counts when necessary.

Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ direct related experience required, feed industry related experience is considered an asset.
Education Requirements:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or another related field is considered an asset.

- Intermediate office software and hardware knowledge; Great Plains and Brill experience an asset.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting

Salary: $49,000 – $54,500
